Rod and Kim Hutchens

For the past twenty five years Mr. and Mrs. Hutchens have been involved in many capacities of Music. Their experience spans from worldwide concert tours, to full time Minister of Music and Fine Arts, directing choirs, orchestra's, dramatic musicals and children's drama workshops and plays. Whether performing, teaching private music lessons or relaxing around the piano with their family, music has always filled their home. That is why they affectionately call their house.... Rod has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Performance from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Ok. He traveled professionally for eight years, touring 40 different countries, all Canadian provinces and all 50 states. Rod has taught piano, trombone and theory for over 20 years and enjoys seeing music come alive in his student's lives! Kim began teaching Musikgarten in the Fall of 2000. She is a licensed and certified Musikgarten teacher who received her training at Northwestern University, St. Paul. Her instructors were music teacher and trainer Mrs. Marlene Lee and world re-nowned early childhood music educator Mrs. Lorna Lutz Heyge. Mrs. Heyge is the co-founder and author of Musikgarten. Mrs. Hutchens is an Early Childhood Specialist offering an organized, sequential music curriculum that will nurture the total development of children newborn through seven years old. She receieved her Bachelor of Arts degree from Evangel University in Springfield, MO.

Jessica Joy is a recording artist, song writer, worship leader and accomplished speaker. She recorded her first album of original songs at the age of 17. All the songs on that album were written between the age of 13 and 16. Jessica teaches voice, song writing, and guitar. You can find more information about her at Jessicajoymusic.com
